A little surprise at CES 2025, Razer unveiled Project Arielle, a gaming chair with thermal regulation. It offers the option of activating a heating mode in winter, or ventilation to cool down in hot weather. An unusual and innovative concept that’s sure to get people talking!

Project Arielle: Razer presents the first air-conditioned gaming chair!

The Arielle Project stands out for its customizable thermal control system. Using bladeless fan technology, this gaming chair features both heating and cooling options. The cooling function reduces the perceived temperature by 2-5°C, ideal for preventing overheating during long League of Legend sessions. The heating mode, on the other hand, diffuses a pleasant warmth of up to 30°C for welcome comfort on winter evenings.

Thanks to its touch-sensitive control panel, this gaming chair lets you choose the temperature, as well as the power of the ventilation. Pulsed air is strategically directed towards the neck and lower back. To ensure even, efficient distribution of hot or cold air, ducts are integrated into the structure of the chair to ensure good air distribution.

A design inspired by the Razer Fujin Pro chair

Aesthetically and ergonomically, Project Arielle builds on the solid foundations of the Razer Fujin Pro, renowned for its functional yet durable design. The aluminum-alloy frame gives this gamer chair proven robustness, while maintaining a reasonable weight for easy everyday use. The breathable mesh that also characterizes the Fujin Pro is also present here to provide natural ventilation to complement the air system.

A distinctive feature of the Arielle Project is the addition of an RGB LED strip around its frame. This lighting is not merely decorative: it changes color according to the thermal mode activated. Subtle blue signals cooling, while red indicates heating. However, to keep this unusual gaming chair running, it needs to be plugged into the mains.

Although only a concept developed by Razer for the moment, the Project Arielle gamer chair is an original idea. It’s not hard to imagine such a chair being able to communicate with a PC or game console, for even greater gaming immersion. It could, for example, make you feel the heat of a dragon’s flames in Skyrim or the icy Ice Ball of Sub-Zero in Mortal Kombat.
