Cadillac integrates Dolby Atmos with Amazon Music in its 2026 electric range

Cadillac continues to expand its technological offering by integrating the Dolby Atmos format into its in-car audio systems, in partnership with Amazon Music. This innovation will first be available for the Optiq and Vistiq electric models, before becoming standard across the entire 2026 electric range.

Immersive in-car sound

Dolby Atmos is becoming increasingly popular in car audio systems, offering drivers and passengers unparalleled sound immersion. Cadillac is taking the next step by integrating the three-dimensional Dolby Atmos format with Amazon Music on board its electric vehicles from 2026. Some models will even benefit from an upgrade as early as this year.

To this end, subscribers can access the Dolby Atmos content available on Amazon Music via USB using a compatible device, or directly via the Cadillac infotainment system.

A premium audio experience

Cadillac’s new electric models, including the Optiq and Vistiq SUVs, are equipped with high-end AKG audio systems. The Optiq features a car audio system with 19 drivers, while the Vistiq has 23.

According to Baris Cetinok, Senior Vice President of Software and Services at General Motors (Cadillac’s parent company), this integration marks a significant step forward: “Amazon Music with Dolby Atmos is the latest application to be integrated into GM’s infotainment system, bringing multi-dimensional sound to your driving experience and going beyond the limits of simply pairing your phone”. This approach enables optimized playback and smooth navigation behind the wheel.

This innovation reflects Cadillac’s commitment to enriching the audio experience inside its vehicles to offer a more captivating three-dimensional sound. It follows in the footsteps of Volvo and Bowers & Wilkins with the EX90 electric SUV.
