Known for over sixty years for its affordable hi-fi and home theater speakers, Eltax is expanding its product line with the launch of its first two soundbars: the Eltax Cine Sound 2.1 and Eltax Cine Sound 5.1. Staying true to its philosophy, Eltax is banking on a simple and effective approach, featuring compact equipment, easy setup, and—above all—particularly attractive value for money at €129 and €199.
Eltax Cine Sound 2.1: simplicity and efficiency
For several decades, Eltax has built a solid reputation among hi-fi and home theater enthusiasts thanks to speakers renowned for their excellent value for money. Models such as the famous Monitor III—the new generation of which, the Eltax Monitor III Neo, has just been announced—have helped popularize the brand among a wide audience by demonstrating that it’s possible to enjoy high-quality sound without breaking the bank. With the Cine Sound 2.1 and Cine Sound 5.1, Eltax is now applying this same philosophy to soundbars.
As the entry-level model in this new lineup, the Eltax Cine Sound 2.1 features a 2.1-channel configuration consisting of a compact soundbar paired with a dedicated subwoofer. With a total power output of 140 W, it uses two 97 x 31 mm full-range drivers to deliver sound that is significantly richer and more dynamic than that of built-in TV drivers. Dolby Atmos-compatible, it leverages the spatial information embedded in modern soundtracks to create a more immersive soundstage. The subwoofer, meanwhile, uses a 130-mm driver to add more depth to explosions, music, and special effects.

With its HDMI eARC, optical, and 3.5 mm mini-jack inputs, the Eltax Cine Sound 2.1 soundbar pairs easily with any TV. You can also listen to music from a USB flash drive using a dedicated input, while the Bluetooth 5.3 module allows you to stream from a smartphone, tablet, or computer.
Eltax Cine Sound 5.1: a real home theater
With the Cine Sound 5.1, Eltax takes things up a notch by offering a true multichannel home theater solution. The system combines a soundbar equipped with four 50 mm drivers, a wireless subwoofer featuring a 165 mm driver, and two dedicated surround speakers. This setup creates a more immersive surround sound experience by effectively distributing audio all around the listener. Also compatible with Dolby Atmos, this soundbar promises to further enhance the feeling of immersion.

In terms of connectivity, the Eltax Cine Sound 5.1 soundbar shares the same features as its smaller counterpart, with an HDMI eARC input, an optical input, and a mini-jack input, ensuring optimal compatibility with any audiovisual source. Bluetooth 5.3 is also available for music streaming. The surround speakers are powered directly by the subwoofer via dedicated terminal blocks—a rare but practical setup for a living room with few electrical outlets.

Particularly aggressive pricing
With this first line of soundbars, Eltax remains true to the DNA that has made it so successful. The Eltax Cine Sound 2.1 is priced at just €129, while the Eltax Cine Sound 5.1 is priced at €199. These are unbeatable prices for such feature-rich models, especially given their Dolby Atmos compatibility and—in the case of the 5.1 version—true dedicated surround speakers. This allows a wide audience to significantly enhance their TV’s sound experience without breaking the bank.
