Bang & Olufsen is revisiting some of its iconic pieces for Chinese New Year 2023, which begins on January 22. Defined as “a journey along the Silk Road”, this collection uses colors and patterns inspired by this 6,000 km long trade route.
What equipment is in the B&O Chinese New Year collection?
The Danish brand has chosen five iconic pieces of equipment to celebrate this Lunar New Year: the B&O Beoplay A9 connected speaker, the B&O Beolit 20 and B&O Beosound A1 portable Bluetooth speakers, the Beoplay H95 headphones, and the B&O Beoplay EX ANC True Wireless earbuds.
In keeping with the traditional color scheme of the Lunar New Year, Bang & Olufsen has selected the following three colors: Lunar Red, Jade Green and Gold. Of course, the Danish manufacturer still uses high quality materials, notably wooden legs and aluminum cases.
The Beosound A1 and Beolit 20 connected speakers feature hand-woven leather knots. A tribute to Chinese culture, they symbolize joyful reunions. In addition, the elegant silk ribbon found on the Beoplay A9 also adorns the packaging.

B&O Chinese New Year in music
In addition to speakers, headphones and earbuds dressed in elegant Chinese-inspired colors, Bang & Olufsen has collaborated with the prestigious Bazaar China magazine and three Chinese artists to create unique content.
Lumi Liu, bassist, singer, keyboardist and member of the band Re-TROS, integrates delicate emotions in retro and catchy rhythms. Corsak (Hu Mengzhou), singer and electronic music producer, creates pieces that combine tradition and modernity. Finally, singer/songwriter Matt Lv finds inspiration in both Eastern and Western music. He creates relaxing pieces, particularly conducive to concentration or simply to relax and rest.
This limited edition collection starts at €399. Bang & Olufsen did not specify how many models were produced for the occasion.
