Which TVs are compatible with 5.1 on YouTube TV?

Launched in early 2017, YouTube TV offers access to over 100 live TV channels as well as on-demand content. Since 2022, it has therefore been possible to enjoy a 5.1 compatible film or a program on the YouTube TV platform.

After limiting the rollout of 5.1 surround sound to Samsung, LG and Vizio devices, YouTube TV has extended this immersive sound system to Google TV as well as Android TV, Apple TV and Roku. With a Fire TV, the sound was always limited to stereo. Now, it is possible to enjoy a surround sound experience with a soundbar or A/V receiver.

Content available on YouTube TV is also available in 5.1 from an Apple TV for a more immersive sound experience.

Coming from a sports background, I decided to join the Son-Vidéo.com adventure in 2022 to develop my appreciation for the world of audio and home theater. Curious about cinema and music, I'm constantly on the lookout for technical innovations to enhance my experience. While I'm drawn to all kinds of cultural activities, I'm particularly fond of live performances (improv, stand-up shows, etc.). As a result, I spend my free time in stadiums, concert halls, cinemas and theaters, depending on what's happening in Nantes... and the weather! Above all, I like to share these experiences with friends and family, so that we can share our different opinions.
