To celebrate the 50th anniversary of Pink Floyd’s legendary album, Pro-Ject has just released the limited edition Pro-Ject The Dark Side of the Moon turntable. A year after the ode to Metallica, it’s the Austrian manufacturer’s latest nod to music and pop culture.

Pro-Ject, the limited edition turntable specialist
With its Pro-Ject The Dark Side of the Moon turntable, the Austrian brand has unveiled another extraordinary limited edition. Pro-Ject is accustomed to pulling out all the stops, and is renewing a project that has already proved successful with The Beatles Yellow Submarine special edition and superb Pro-Ject Metallica Limited Edition models.

Each time, the deck has a unique design that makes it instantly recognizable. With over 30 years of experience, the vinyl specialist also gives these models audiophile components. The limited edition Pro-Ject turntables aren’t simply pretty.
Pro-Ject The Dark Side of the Moon, paying homage to Pink Floyd
The Pro-Ject The Dark Side of the Moon turntable features a heavy glass platter. The latter rests on a glass plate that is 10mm thick. With its triangular shape, it is reminiscent of the prism on the legendary Pink Floyd album cover. The tonearm is made of acrylic, a material that limits internal resonance and ensures a better musical reproduction.
On the rear, a detail further marks the uniqueness of the Pro-Ject The Dark Side of the Moon turntable. An LED backlight diffuses the colors of the rainbow to reproduce the cover of the British rock band’s flagship album. As a result, this belt-driven model guarantees a unique experience when listening to music in the dark.
See it at PAVS 2023
An unmissable event for hi-fi and home theater fans, the Paris Audio Video Show 2023 is the perfect opportunity for Pro-Ject to present this limited edition deck to the French public. The Pink Floyd deck will be visible for the first time in France at the Austrian manufacturer’s stand!
