Philips has revealed its 2024 Ambilight television ranges! The Philips OLED+959, OLED+909 and OLED809 TVs, as well as the Philips PML9009 Xtra Mini-LED and Philips PUS8909 Direct LED LCD TVs, all promise to enhance 4K HDR images.

The Philips 65OLED909 (left) and Philips 65OLED959 (right) televisions feature the manufacturer’s best technologies to enhance 4K HDR images.

The manufacturer is promoting OLED in its Philips Ambilight 2024 TV ranges, with no fewer than three series featuring this technology. Philips also offers a range of Xtra Mini LED televisions and a Direct LED LCD series. Among the advantages of these new ranges are Ambilight Plus, the 8th generation P5 AI Dual Engine processor, OLED Meta 2.0 panels, 144Hz 4K gaming and Bowers & Wilkins sound.

Philips Ambilight Plus and Ambient Intelligence V3

The new generation of Ambilight technology has more nuances and provides greater immersion than previous versions.

The new Philips Ambilight Plus system celebrates 20 years of Ambilight technology. This new, ultra-sophisticated version equipped with extra lenses is more dynamic and produces a higher-definition halo for a uniquely immersive effect.

Available on 2024 Philips OLED televisions, Ambient Intelligence V3 automatically optimizes the display of HDR content. In bright conditions, it increases the brightness of the dark areas in the picture to ensure they remain visible. In the dark, it preserves the director’s intentions by providing a picture that matches the original master.

144Hz 4K and Dolby Vision Gaming

All the 2024 Philips televisions presented here are VRR, 144Hz 4K and Dolby Vision Gaming compatible. Players can therefore swap their 144Hz gaming monitor for a 2024 Philips television if they want to benefit from a large picture. These TVs also integrate a new soundbar that allows gamers to quickly customize and control video game settings.

Titan OS

The Philips PML9009 and Philips PUS8909 mini LED televisions are equipped with the brand-new Titan OS smart interface.

Titan OS SL is a European company that has developed an independent operating system for smart TVs. Titan OS offers both the major global streaming options and a very wide choice of local content. As part of a global strategic partnership with TP Vision, owner of the Philips TV brand, this new operating system is featured on two Philips 2024 TV ranges, the Philips PML9009 and Philips PUS8909. Meanwhile, the 2024 Philips OLED TV ranges continue to use Google TV.

Philips OLED+959

The Philips OLED+959 premium television can be installed on a TV cabinet (feet supplied as standard), wall-mounted (bracket sold separately), or placed on the optional metal TV stand.

It is equipped with the 8th generation P5 AI Dual Engine processor to provide more luminosity and contrast, and to enhance 4K HDR images. The Ambilight Plus system is present to boost visual immersion and there is an integrated Bowers&Wilkins audio system (5.1.2-channel Dolby Atmos, 102W). The price will be announced by the manufacturer at a later date.

As a buyer and seller of second-hand high-tech products for around ten years before joining Son-Vidéo.com in 2007, I had the opportunity to test a variety of amplifiers, speakers, headphones, TVs, projectors and DAPs... Passionate about films and series, music and new technologies, I'm particularly fond of the worlds of TV, video projection and home theater. I like to watch films with my family on the big screen, either at the movie theater or at home, but I also enjoy listening to music on a good hi-fi system, sat in a comfy armchair or on a walk with a pair of headphones.
