Jamo makes a long-awaited comeback with a brand-new generation of Concert speakers. A true institution in the history of Danish hi-fi, the brand aims to reconnect with its roots by launching two complementary ranges: the new Concert Legacy and Concert Element. Combining acoustic heritage, contemporary design and integration tailored to modern interiors, this new range aims to redefine the norms.
A long-awaited renaissance
Founded in 1968 in Denmark, Jamo has established itself over several decades as one of Europe’s leading manufacturers of affordable hi-fi speakers. The brand has made a name for itself with models that combine musicality, Nordic design and competitive pricing. Among its legendary series, the Concert range, launched in the 1990s, remains one of the most popular with music lovers to this day. With this new 2026 vintage, Jamo brings these speakers up to date, incorporating the latest technological advances without sacrificing their iconic design.

Jamo Concert Legacy: the new standard-bearer
The new Jamo Concert range is structured into two distinct families, with the Jamo Concert Element and Jamo Concert Legacy. The latter represents the pinnacle of the new Concert series, with a premium collection of passive speakers, made in Denmark. Inspired by the legendary Jamo Concert 8 and Concert 11 launched in 1996, this range explores how these classics would have naturally evolved over three decades of innovation. It comprises the following three models:
- Jamo Concert Legacy 8: two-way bookshelf speaker
- Jamo Concert Legacy 9: three-way compact floorstander
- Jamo Concert Legacy 11: large three-way floorstander

Design has always been at the heart of the Concert series, with bold, sculptural lines. The new Jamo Concert Legacy speakers take up this spirit in a more modern, architectural version. Designed by Studio ISO under the supervision of Jamo’s in-house design team, Jamo Legacy speakers feature elegant proportions, with real wood veneers for particularly seamless integration. They rest on an aluminum base that is tilted forward by four degrees. Beyond the aesthetic aspect, this inclination contributes directly to the acoustic performance of the speakers, leaving the necessary space for the down-firing bass-reflex system. This architecture enhances the bass while improving placement flexibility.

Jamo places particular emphasis on its new DualCore architecture, used on the Legacy 9 and Legacy 11. In concrete terms, the manufacturer physically separates the volume dedicated to the midrange and tweeter from that reserved for the woofers. This mechanical isolation is designed to limit interference caused by the high acoustic pressures generated in the bass. This separation is materialized by a visible horizontal line on the front of the speakers, directly transforming acoustic engineering into a design element.

The Jamo Concert Legacy 11 flagship floorstander takes this philosophy particularly far, with a three-way architecture combining a modernized version of the famous Norwegian-made aluminum-magnesium SEAS midrange driver, three 165 mm birch-fiber Scan-Speak woofers and a Scan-Speak tweeter. It offers a frequency response of 32 Hz to 21 kHz for 250 W of power. The Jamo Concert Legacy 9 is inspired by this architecture in a slightly more compact version, with the same midrange driver and tweeter, coupled to a 165 mm dual bass driver for a frequency response of 33 Hz to 21 kHz and 200 W of power. Finally, the Jamo Concert Legacy 8 bookshelf features a 2-way architecture with a custom Scan-Speak tweeter and the famous 16.5 cm SEAS L18RN4X aluminum-magnesium midbass driver, following in the footsteps of the other models in the range.

Jamo Concert Element: lifestyle hi-fi
Alongside the highly ambitious Legacy range, Jamo also unveils the Concert Element series, which is arguably the most visually striking. Developed with Copenhagen-based studio HarritSørensen, this new range seeks to integrate speakers more naturally into contemporary interiors. Jamo describes this range as its purest interpretation of Danish functional design. It includes three speakers and a subwoofer:
- Jamo Concert Element 50: 2-way bookshelf speaker
- Jamo Concert Element 70: 3-way floorstander
- Jamo Concert Element 90: large 3-way floorstander
- Jamo Concert Element SW10: subwoofer with 25 cm driver

The visual identity is based on the Circle over Square concept, with the circular driver module deliberately protruding from the rectangular cabinet, transforming the acoustic element into a true aesthetic signature. This approach also makes it possible to reduce the dimensions of the cabinet without compromising on the diameter of the drivers. The floorstanding models also feature a horizontal divider, the Horizon Line, which separates the internal midrange/treble and bass chambers. Here again, the acoustic architecture becomes directly visible.

Jamo Concert Element speakers use SB Acoustics nettle-fiber drivers, each tuned to its load volume. As the flagship of the series, the Jamo Concert Element 90 features a three-way architecture with two 25 cm woofers, a 16.5 cm midrange and a 25 mm tweeter. It offers a frequency response of 35 Hz to 22 kHz, with a recommended power handling of 60 to 250 W. A little more compact, the Jamo Concert Element 70 floorstanding speaker retains the three-way architecture, this time with a 20 cm woofer coupled to a 13 cm midrange and the same 25 cm tweeter. It provides extension down to 40 Hz and has a recommended power of 50 to 200 W. The Jamo Concert Element 50 bookshelf features a 2-way architecture with a 16.5 cm midbass driver for a response of 45 Hz to 22 kHz and a recommended power of 40 to 150 W. Finally, the Jamo Concert Element SW10 subwoofer with its 25 cm driver and 150 W amplification delivers powerful bass down to 30 Hz.

With the new Concert Legacy and Concert Element, Jamo seems to have successfully pulled off the tricky task of thoroughly modernizing its classic range without compromising its core values. The Legacy series will appeal to the most discerning music lovers in search of high-performance, design-oriented speakers, while the Concept Element could attract a new generation of users looking for a high-performance hi-fi system that’s easier to integrate into a contemporary interior.
