These Klipsch speakers are designed to replace the current Klipsch Reference speakers (2018)…
Klipsch Reference 2022: what’s new?
The Klipsch Reference 2022 speaker range introduces a new woofer with a TCP (Thermoformed Crystalline Polymer) copper membrane. This polymer combines rigidity and lightness to deliver even more punchy bass. The cone of these drivers is more hollow than on the previous version, similar to the drivers of the Klipsch Reference Premiere range.
In addition, the cabinet of the 2022 Klipsch Reference speakers has also been reinforced to reduce resonance and achieve an even purer sound without distortion, even at (very) high volume.
Also new, the Tractrix horn that equips these Klipsch Reference 2022 speakers is a square model (90° x 90°). The latter ensures better dispersion of high and mid frequencies, resulting in a wider listening area and soundstage.
Note that the Klipsch R-600F and Klipsch R-800F floorstanding speakers have, in addition to their terminals, connectors dedicated to the Klipsch R-40SA Atmos speakers. These Atmos terminals are linked to a pair of remote connectors on the back and at the top of the cabinet to make it easier to connect the Atmos speakers placed on them.
Finally, the look of these Klipsch Reference 2022 speakers has been revised with a more understated front panel that ditches the fasteners of the previous version in favor of a magnetic grille. This way, the front of these speakers is even more beautiful!
