Samsung 2023 soundbars: comparative table
Samsung has renewed its 2023 soundbar catalog and reiterates the formulas that made previous ranges so successful. In particular, we remember the exceptional performance of the Samsung HW-Q990B premium soundbar.
Among the Samsung soundbars available on Son-Vidéo.com, going up through the range allows you to increase spatialization with a greater number of channels, from the economic, stereo model to the flagship that creates a real sound bubble over 11.1.4 channels.

Samsung 2023 soundbars: Dolby Atmos and DTS:X
With the exception of the entry-level Samsung HW-C450, the Samsung 2023 Q-series soundbars are all Dolby Atmos-compatible and have a true center channel dedicated to voices. This allows the sound to be spread out in width, depth and height around the spectators while guaranteeing a perfect perception of the dialogue.
The higher up you go in the range, the more channels and drivers you have, for more amplitude and precision in the sound effects. The Samsung HW-Q700C and Samsung HW-Q990C are the most immersive thanks to their dedicated Atmos effect drivers. The latter even comes with wireless surround speakers to deliver side, rear and vertical effects. This true wireless home theater system immerses you in a sound bubble, for both movies and video games.
DTS is also included, with the DTS Virtual:X virtual spatialization process on the two most affordable models. DTS sound purists will turn to the two higher-end models to enjoy true immersive 3D sound with DTS:X compatibility.
Samsung soundbars 2023: Q-Symphony
First introduced in 2020, Q-Symphony technology synchronizes the soundbar’s drivers with those of any compatible Samsung TV. This improves amplitude and increases volume while allowing the audience to enjoy a richer sound. Of course, this requires that the soundbar and the Samsung TV support Q-Symphony.
This feature requires both devices to be connected in HDMI ARC/eARC, but it can also work in WiFi. Samsung is the only manufacturer to offer a wireless Dolby Atmos connection between the TV and soundbar!
Q-Symphony technology can be found on Samsung’s Q-series soundbars, with wireless Dolby Atmos reserved for the two premium Samsung HW-Q700C and Samsung HW-Q990C models.
