Focal has revealed a car audio system called Hi-Fi Premium. This installation features 10 drivers that are integrated throughout the new Peugeot E-3008. This French collaboration highlights the high fidelity and automobile specialists’ expertise.
Focal and Peugeot has started a new collaboration to integrate the Hi-Fi Premium option into the E-3008, the car manufacturer’s new electric vehicle. This exceptional audio system features 10 drivers. A total of 140 hours of acoustic tuning were required to reproduce the Focal sound signature inside the vehicle. A masterpiece of craftsmanship designed to enhance the driving experience.
Focal x Peugeot E-3008: a system with 10 drivers
In order to create a genuine sound bubble around the passengers, 10 Focal drivers were installed in the interior. Four aluminum inverted dome TNF tweeters surround the center channel, as does a polyglass cone driver. The same cone is also found on the four door-mounted midrange drivers. Finally, a triple-coil elliptical subwoofer with a Power Flower magnet ensures bass reproduction at the rear of the cabin.
The three coils provide a total of 150 watts of power, each fed by a 50-watt amplifier. The result is generous, dynamic bass. Inherited from the technologies used in the iconic Utopia speakers, the Power Flower replaces the standard ferrite magnet to create a powerful magnetic field. The system is powered by a 12-channel, 690-watt Class D amplifier.
Focal x Peugeot E-3008: immersive sound
Thanks to this multi-channel hi-fi system, Focal is able to offer an immersive sound experience in the Peugeot E-3008. To take things a step further, Focal even offers two listening modes. The first, “All-Passengers”, is a stereo mode optimized for each passenger. The second, entitled “Front Optimized”, promises a sound experience that increases the width and depth of the stereo scene for the front seats. The sound is enveloping, with clear, detailed vocals and deep, impactful bass.
