More and more of you want to enjoy a very large image at home to recreate an immersive atmosphere worthy of a movie theater. Since projectors are the ideal choice for creating XXL images in the living room, Son-Vidéo.com has added two iconic projectors from Formovie.

Formovie makes its debut on Son-Vidéo.com with two must-have references: the compact Formovie Xming Page One projector, complete with carrying case, and the ultra-short throw Formovie Theater projector, designed to replace the TV in your living room. Discover them now!

Who is Formovie?

Formovie Tech is a Mi ecosystem company jointly created by Appotronics Corporation and Xiaomi Technology. Formovie projectors use ALPD triple-laser technology, which is widely used in digital cinemas around the world. This technology uses three RGB laser diodes (red, green and blue) combined with a fourth blue diode with a phosphor wheel. This combination covers a very wide color space, approaching or even exceeding the Rec.2020 gamut.

Launched in July 2017 on Xiaomi’s website, the 150-inch Mijia Laser Projection TV is the very first projector designed by the manufacturer. This ultra-short-throw projector was made possible by a highly successful crowdfunding campaign. January 2021 saw the release of the Formovie Dice projector, also funded by a crowdfunding campaign in Taiwan. This cube-shaped model marked Formovie’s entry into the compact, mobile projector market. In December 2021, in partnership with the Dunhuang Museum, Formovie launched its first triple laser TV. Featuring an ultra-short-throw projector and anti-glare screen, the Formovie T1 is equipped with a custom-designed audio system from Bowers & Wilkins.

Xming Page One: compact connected projectors

The Formovie Xming Page One features a compact design and comes with a carrying case so you can take it with you wherever you go. It can project a Full HD 1080p image measuring from 1 to 3 meters, and also broadcasts the sound of the programs being viewed, thanks to its built-in stereo drivers. Easy to use in everyday situations, the Formovie Xming Page One projector automatically adjusts image geometry, and can even shift the image if it detects an obstacle in front of it.

The Formovie Xming Page One Full HD 1080p projector has a very compact format, making it easy to install anywhere.

This Formovie HD projector integrates Google TV and is Netflix-certified. It accesses the majority of VOD services such as Prime Video, Disney+, Apple TV+ and more. As for its integrated Chromecast function, this enables it to receive video content wirelessly from a smartphone, via the WiFi network. Its HDMI input supports both 1080p HD and 4K UHD video (1080p display after scaling), and its USB port lets you play video and audio files stored on a USB memory stick.

What’s more, installation is greatly simplified by its automatic keystone feature.

Formovie Theater’s ultra-short-throw 4K laser projector projects a very large image of up to 150″/3.8 m when placed at the foot of the wall or projection screen.

The Formovie Theater boasts support for 4K Dolby Vision and HDR10+ images, as well as a wide color space. Enjoy vivid, lifelike images with streaming and UHD Blu-ray movies. Its built-in mini Bowers & Wilkins soundbar promises immersive Dolby Atmos soundtracks.

As a buyer and seller of second-hand high-tech products for around ten years before joining Son-Vidéo.com in 2007, I had the opportunity to test a variety of amplifiers, speakers, headphones, TVs, projectors and DAPs... Passionate about films and series, music and new technologies, I'm particularly fond of the worlds of TV, video projection and home theater. I like to watch films with my family on the big screen, either at the movie theater or at home, but I also enjoy listening to music on a good hi-fi system, sat in a comfy armchair or on a walk with a pair of headphones.
