Unveiled at CES, the Samsung Music Frame HW-LS60D WiFi/Bluetooth speaker is inspired by the Lifestyle TV concept. Thanks to its customizable frame and front panel, it blends harmoniously into the decor of a living room or bedroom. WiFi and Bluetooth compatible, this frame speaker supports AirPlay 2 and Chromecast wireless protocols. Here’s an overview of this new release that reinvents the concept of the wireless speaker.

A customizable speaker

What sets the Samsung Music Frame connected speaker apart from its competitors is its high degree of personalization. Samsung has taken the concept introduced with The Frame lifestyle TV range a step further. With the Samsung Music Frame wireless speaker, the Korean manufacturer offers a decorative audio device! The removable front panel can be modified to suit individual tastes: a personal photo, a reproduction of a work of art or an album cover, for example.

Thanks to its expertise, Samsung has achieved the feat of creating a speaker capable of delivering detailed sound, with engaging bass and a precise midrange, in an ultra-slim format. To maintain the look of a traditional photo frame, the Samsung Music Frame is less than 5.5cm thick. It can be installed on a piece of furniture using the included pedestal, or wall-mounted using the bracket supplied with the speaker.

Samsung Music Frame, a versatile speaker

Dolby Atmos compatible, the Samsung Music Frame HW-LS60D wireless speaker can integrate a wireless home theater system to reproduce surround or vertical effects. It’s in the company of a Samsung 2024 TV that it optimizes the potential of its six drivers powered by 120 watts. Compatible with Samsung’s Q-Symphony technology, this decorative connected speaker enhances the TV’s soundstage by synchronizing with the drivers of the latter. This feature enhances the immersive experience of movies, TV series and video games.

The Samsung Music Frame connected speaker is also equipped with WiFi and Bluetooth controllers. Furthermore, it’s compatible with AirPlay 2 and Chromecast wireless protocols and Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant voice commands. Perfectly at ease with digital music, it can play high-resolution FLAC, AIFF, ALAC and WAV audio files.

An adaptive speaker

The Samsung Music Frame HW-LS60D is not only modular, it’s also adaptive. In fact, the automatic calibration system, called SpaceFit Sound, analyzes the space to optimize sound reproduction by detecting the size of the room or the furniture in it. The result is a clearer, more precise sound, whatever the constraints of the space.

What’s more, this decorative Samsung Music Frame speaker optimizes the sound of your TV, connected via the device’s optical input, or WiFi. Adaptative Sound technology analyzes the audio track in real time to optimize vocal reproduction. This feature comes in very handy if you want to hear the dialogue of films, TV series and video games better, even at low volume. Best of all, the Active Voice Amplifier (AVA) mode identifies ambient noise in the room and amplifies the volume of voices in the program being broadcast by the TV to make dialogue perfectly audible.

Presented earlier this year at CES 2024 in Las Vegas, the Samsung Music Frame connected speaker is now available for €449.

Coming from a sports background, I decided to join the Son-Vidéo.com adventure in 2022 to develop my appreciation for the world of audio and home theater. Curious about cinema and music, I'm constantly on the lookout for technical innovations to enhance my experience. While I'm drawn to all kinds of cultural activities, I'm particularly fond of live performances (improv, stand-up shows, etc.). As a result, I spend my free time in stadiums, concert halls, cinemas and theaters, depending on what's happening in Nantes... and the weather! Above all, I like to share these experiences with friends and family, so that we can share our different opinions.
