Founded in 1910 by American entrepreneur Frederick Whitney Horn, the Japanese company Denon started out as a gramophone manufacturer. More than a century later this brand, which has become an icon in the hi-fi and home theater world, stands out for its innovative spirit as well as the musical and captivating sound signature of its equipment.

In 1963, Denon established itself as a leader in the phono cartridge market with the legendary Denon DL-103 and continues to build its solid reputation by providing electronics that combine high quality design and sound performance.

In June 2020, Denon made a name for itself as a pioneer in the hi-fi and home theater domain once again by announcing the release of the first 8K ready A/V receivers. These HDMI 2.1 and 8K 60Hz compatible receivers are scheduled for release in July. For more information about Denon’s new AVRs, read our blog post.

Denon’s catalog currently includes connected amplifiers, hi-fi amplifiers, phono cartridges, hi-fi headphones, soundbars, compact hi-fi systems, wireless speakers, CD players, network media players, turntables and A/V receivers.
