Specialist Elipson is taking advantage of the High End trade show in Munich to showcase its new creations. Connected hi-fi is at the heart of the brand’s latest innovations, with new wireless speakers, a Hi-Res network player and a very promising connected amp. The French company also took advantage of the show to unveil the new Elipson Performance range, made up of separate hi-fi elements whose quality/price ratio seems unbeatable.
Elipson Planet LW XI
The French manufacturer is releasing its iconic best-selling Elipson Planet L speaker in a connected format with the new Elipson Planet LW XI. It uses the same coaxial driver as the passive version, with a 6.5″ cone for the midrange and bass. In its center is a 1″ tweeter. This driver is now powered by an integrated 50W RMS amplifier.
The Elipson Planet LW XI speakers include all the features of the Elipson Multiroom range. There is AirPlay 2, Chromecast and Bluetooth compatibility for streaming from a smartphone, tablet or computer. Access to web radios, as well as to numerous streaming services such as Spotify, Deezer, Qobuz, Tidal and Napster is also included. Finally, you can combine Elipson Planet LW XI speakers with any other connected Elipson equipment to create a multi-room group.
The Elipson Planet LW XI speaker will be sold as a pair at a price of €1,990 from October 2023.
Elipson W35 XI
The oldest French hi-fi brand also took advantage of the High End trade show in Munich to update the Elipson W35+ connected speaker. Presented in its new Elipson W35 “XI” version, it brings significant acoustic improvements, with clearer and more precise mids and highs. To do this, it integrates two 6.5″ midbass drivers coupled with a dual 1″ tweeter to provide a true stereo sound.
The Elipson W35 Xi connected speaker retains the sleek, circular design of its predecessor. Its deep, intense black color is the perfect combination of tradition and innovation. Regarding connectivity, the new Elipson W35 Xi speaker carries over many of the features of the W35+ while adding a built-in Chromecast receiver. The connectors remain unchanged, with a 3.5mm mini-jack input and an optical input for the connection of a CD player, tuner or game console, for example.
The new Elipson W35 Xi connected speaker will be marketed in September 2023 at a price of €699.
Elipson Stream S300 XI
Elipson completes its line of network players with the new Elipson Stream S300 XI. This model offers a more audiophile solution than the current Elipson WM Multiroom and Elipson Connect WiFi Receiver thanks to the use of high quality components, including an ESS SABRE ES9028 DAC. Its excellent signal-to-noise ratio of 110 dB will allow you to appreciate every detail of the music.
This versatile Elipson Stream S300 XI network player is compatible with many streaming services such as Spotify, Tidal, Qobuz, Deezer and Amazon Music, as well as web radios via TuneIn. Streaming music from a smartphone, tablet or computer is also made easy with AirPlay 2, Chromecast and Bluetooth 5.2 protocols. Finally, it is possible to create a multi-room installation with other Elipson devices.
The Elipson Stream S300 XI network player will be available from September 2023 at a price of €199.
Elipson Connect 2130 XI
The new Elipson Connect 2130 XI connected amplifier is designed for both home and professional use. It incorporates Class D amplification, capable of delivering up to 2 x 130 watts into 4 and 8 ohms to efficiently power any pair of speakers. It can also be bridged in mono mode to raise the power to 250 watts into 8 ohms. The hi-fi character of this amp is expressed by a very wide bandwidth, from 1.6 Hz to 65 kHz, as well as a distortion rate of only 0.003% and a signal-to-noise ratio of 119 dB.
The Elipson Connect 2130 XI is all about streaming, with AirPlay 2, Chromecast, Bluetooth, DLNA and access to the main streaming services. Its internal DAC ensures playback up to a resolution of 24-bit/192kHz. Finally, an RCA input allows you to connect a wired source.
The new Elipson Connect 2130 XI connected amp will be available for sale from September 2023 for just €699. A feat for a model made in France!
Elipson Performance
Unveiled at the show, the new range of Elipson Performance electronics makes the brand’s unique expertise more accessible than ever. Very complete, this new range is composed of the Elipson A300 2 x 130W power amplifier, the Elipson P300 connected preamplifier, the Elipson I300 2 x 130W connected amplifier and the Elipson CD300 CD player. All these electronics share a design inspired by the Elipson A2700 and Elipson P1.
This line of electronics offers a variety of advanced features to meet the needs of all music lovers, from amateurs to audiophiles. All items will be marketed from October 2023 at a price of €999 for the Elipson P300, €799 for the Elipson A300, €1,199 for the Elipson I300 and €499 for the Elipson CD300.
With these new creations, the French manufacturer demonstrates its innovative abilities and its will to provide ever more functional devices by integrating the latest streaming technologies.
