Once again this year, Samsung took over the 6,000m² second floor of the CityCube. The largest space at the Berlin Exhibition Center was home to all the Samsung branches, from connected home and household appliances to TVs and projectors.

IFA 2023: Samsung Gaming Hub
The Korean manufacturer highlighted the gaming qualities of its main 2023 ranges in the Gaming Hub area. Visitors could try out their favorite games via Xbox Cloud Gaming, NVIDIA GeForce NOW or Utomik, directly on the Samsung smart TVs on show. The Samsung S95C OLED models rubbed shoulders with the Samsung QN800C Neo QLED 8K TVs.

Gamers were also treated to Samsung Odyssey curved gaming displays, including the ultra-immersive 57″ Neo G9 Dual UHD, as well as the impressive Samsung Odyssey Ark.

IFA 2023 Samsung: OLED, Lifestyle and XXL TVs
The Korean manufacturer presented various models from the Samsung Lifestyle Collection, including the Samsung The Frame range with a limited Disney100 Edition to celebrate the centennial of the famous animation studio. This exclusive model features a special silver frame, 100 works of art from the Disney collection to display in Gallery mode, and a remote control with Mickey’s silhouette.
The Samsung The Serif and Samsung The Terrace ranges were also on display. Samsung also presented its Samsung S90C and Samsung S95C OLED TVs.

As with other manufacturers, Samsung is also moving towards XXL TVs. Visitors could also admire three 98″ Neo QLED 4K and 8K models (the Samsung TQ98QN990C, in particular). Worldwide statistics reveal a constant increase in the size of TVs. Last May, for the first time ever, the average size of TVs sold around the world exceeded 50″. At the show, Samsung confided to us that their statistics were even higher, with an average of 55″.

The trend towards extra-large TVs is also confirmed by Samsung, which now offers a 98″ (2.5m) model in its Samsung QN900C Neo QLED 8K range. To be released before the end of the year at a price of around €40,000, it completes the manufacturer’s XXL TV offering, which includes the Samsung TQ98Q80C QLED 4K TV.
IFA 2023: new Samsung The Freestyle Gen2 projector

The Korean brand presented the second-generation Samsung The Freestyle, which we tested in the spring of 2022. On the menu for this new version of the picoprojector is the integration of the Gaming Hub for access to games offered by Xbox Cloud Gaming, NVIDIA GeForce NOW and Utomik. This means you can play games directly from the projector, without a console or PC, simply by connecting a Bluetooth controller.
The Samsung The Freestyle 2nd Gen also boasts an impressive Smart Edge Blending function. This enables two projectors to be synchronized wirelessly, so that they project the left and right sides of the same video together. As a result, you can significantly increase the image size and achieve a cinemascope effect with a 160″ (4m) image!
As the world leader in TVs and gaming displays, Samsung is building on its successful ranges to strengthen its position, with XXL models and integrated gaming functions, always with a clever blend of design and technology. It’s doubtful that the competition can match this level of excellence…
