A long-standing partner of DJs thanks to its legendary Technics SL-1200 turntable range, the Japanese manufacturer has launched a collaboration with independent label Wagram. This partnership has resulted in three limited-edition themed compilations in double LP format.

Wagram, an eclectic catalog
Through its main entity, Wargam brings together eight labels: 3eme Bureau, Cinq 7, WLAB, Belem Music, Labréa, Chapter Two, Balagan Music and Wagram Music International. With a rich and eclectic catalog, the production company accompanies artists of different genres such as Orelsan, Alpha Blondy, The Dø and M. It was therefore natural for Technics to turn to this label, founded in 1998, to offer three limited-edition thematic compilations.
Technics x Wagram, 3 limited edition compilation albums
To suit everyone’s taste, Technics and Wagram have compiled three limited edition double LPs that pay tribute to the close relationship between Technics, DJs and the nightlife scene. Indeed, since 1965, Technics has had an excellent reputation, forged by the success of its turntables. The legendary SL-1200 range is a benchmark for many DJs. Technics and Wagram have also honored three styles of music popular with disc jockeys: Technics House.01, Technics Techno.01 and Technics Hip-Hop.01.
Each edition includes two vinyl records and offers a comprehensive musical retrospective. The Technics Hip-Hop.01 compilation, for example, includes Rapper’s Delight by The Sugarhill Gang and Hip Hop Hooray by Naughty By Nature, offering a fine panorama of American hip-hop through 18 songs. The Technics Techno.01 double vinyl features 12 tracks, including Laurent Garnier’s Wake Up and Slam’s Positive Education. Last but not least, Technics House.01, a 13-track house compilation, includes Flat Beat by Mr Oizo and Ëvë by Soha.

These three compilations are available from Son-Vidéo.com for €21.90 each. The perfect opportunity to test out your turntable and party with friends with some dance tunes!
