At High End 2026 in Vienna, Elipson took advantage of Europe’s largest audiophile event to unveil several major new products. With the arrival of the new Legacy II line, the launch of the Planet Outdoor L outdoor speakers, and the announcement of a brand-new series of turntables called Opus, the French manufacturer is reaffirming its commitment to expanding its expertise across all audio segments. Here’s a look back at the show’s key announcements.

Elipson Legacy II: the new flagship series

The true star of the Elipson booth this year was the new Legacy II line, which was showcased in a dedicated listening room, where it attracted numerous visitors throughout the show. For this public demonstration, the French brand chose to highlight the prestigious Elipson Legacy II 3230, the series’ new flagship model. Already well-regarded in its first version (read our review of the Elipson Legacy 3230 speaker), this model once again won us over with its incredibly wide soundstage, its refined detail, and its exceptional harmonic richness.

The new Elipson Legacy II line embodies the combination of the brand’s iconic design and reimagined high-end acoustics.

This new generation retains the aesthetic DNA that made the Legacy series a success, while featuring a modernized design, a completely redesigned crossover, and a reinforced cabinet. The Elipson Legacy II 3230, which was on display at the show, features a particularly ambitious three-way design with two 210 mm woofers featuring cellulose pulp cones reinforced with a layer of aluminum, a 160 mm midrange driver with a pure ceramic cone, and an AMT ribbon tweeter designed to reproduce high frequencies with great speed.

An iconic model in the new Legacy II series, the Elipson Legacy II 3230 combines two 21 cm woofers, a ceramic midrange driver, and an AMT tweeter in a sophisticated decoupled-sphere design. Capable of extending down to 25 Hz, it delivers a spectacular soundstage, combining power, precision, and refinement.

The system is housed in a particularly elaborate cabinet that combines thick MDF with a silica-filled resin sphere for the midrange driver and tweeter. This design optimizes vibration control while promoting a more natural reproduction of the sound. With a power handling capacity of 200 watts RMS, a sensitivity of 91 dB, and a specified frequency response of 25 Hz to 30 kHz, the Legacy II 3230 is clearly positioned as a speaker designed to meet the expectations of the most discerning audiophiles.

The Legacy II series will be available in four models. The Legacy II 3210 bookshelf speaker serves as the entry-level model, priced at 3,500 € per pair, while the Elipson Legacy II 3220 floorstanding speaker will be available for 7,000 € per pair. The demonstration model, the Elipson Legacy II 3230, will be priced at €12,000 per pair. Finally, a center channel speaker—whose specifications are still under wraps—will round out the lineup at a later date. The entire range is expected to be available in September 2026.

Elipson Planet Outdoor L: the Planet ventures outside

Another new product that drew particular attention at the Elipson booth was the Planet Outdoor L, which brings the famous spherical Planet design to the garden for the first time. Displayed in a specially designed space that replicated an outdoor environment, these new speakers quickly caught visitors’ attention thanks to their instantly recognizable design.

With the Planet Outdoor L, Elipson aims to offer a true hi-fi solution for terraces, gardens, patios, and outdoor spaces. The speaker retains the range’s iconic spherical shape while featuring a design specifically tailored to the demands of outdoor use. Its IP55-certified waterproof enclosure ensures excellent resistance to humidity, water splashes, and weather conditions.

With the Planet Outdoor L, Elipson brings its iconic spherical design to a speaker built to withstand outdoor conditions. IP55-certified, equipped with a wide-dispersion coaxial driver, and available in several finishes, it brings true hi-fi quality to patios, gardens, and outdoor living spaces.

In terms of acoustics, Elipson features a two-way coaxial driver consisting of a 135 mm midbass unit paired with a 25 mm neodymium magnet tweeter. This configuration provides a wide 110 degree dispersion angle to effectively cover open spaces. Compatible with both low-impedance systems and professional 70 V and 100 V audio networks, the Planet Outdoor L is designed for both residential and commercial installations. Available in white, beige, or gray, it will go on sale in October 2026 at a price of €500 per unit.

Elipson Opus: a new gateway to vinyl

The Vienna High End show also gave Elipson the opportunity to unveil its upcoming Opus line of turntables for the first time. The brand is returning to the world of vinyl with a commitment to making it more accessible to everyone while maintaining the high standards that have contributed to Elipson’s reputation.

The series consists of three manual, belt-driven models: the Opus I, Opus I BT, and Opus III. All share the same design philosophy, featuring a simple yet elegant base, a 305 mm die-cast aluminum platter, and a meticulously engineered isolation system with a rubber-mounted motor suspension, thick felt mats, and special shock-absorbing feet.

With its new Opus line, Elipson aims to make the vinyl experience accessible to as many people as possible without compromising on build quality. Featuring aluminum or carbon fiber tonearms, a built-in phono preamplifier, Bluetooth aptX on select models, and meticulous design, these new turntables combine ease of use, elegance, and respect for the analog signal.

The Opus I and Opus I BT models feature an aluminum tonearm and an Audio-Technica AT-3600L cartridge, which is compatible with both phono and line-level outputs thanks to the built-in preamplifier. The Opus I BT model adds Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity compatible with SBC, aptX, aptX HD, and aptX Adaptive to facilitate wireless playback on speakers or headphones.

The Opus III model, meanwhile, is a step above, featuring a carbon fiber tonearm and an Audio-Technica VM95E cartridge, promising a more refined and precise sound. The entire system features a particularly attractive finish in matte black or light oak, which played a major role in the positive reception it received at the show. In terms of pricing, Elipson has announced particularly competitive prices: €249 for the Opus I, €299 for the Opus I BT, and €399 for the Opus III. They are scheduled to go on sale in January 2027.

With these new products unveiled in Vienna, Elipson once again demonstrates its ability to evolve its product lineup while maintaining a strong identity. The Legacy II series reaffirms the French manufacturer’s high-end ambitions, while the Planet Outdoor L opens up new possibilities for outdoor listening. Finally, the Opus series illustrates the brand’s commitment to attracting a new generation of vinyl enthusiasts with products that are both affordable and meticulously designed.
