A few months ago, Bowers & Wilkins unveiled its new Bluetooth noise-canceling headphones: the B&W Px8. The prestigious English hi-fi brand continues to develop this latest model by offering two new finishes that are as elegant as they are bold. After the celebration of James Bond’s 60th anniversary with the 007 special edition finish, Bowers & Wilkins unveils the B&W Px8 McLaren Edition.

After the 007 edition, B&W unveils the new McLaren finish, celebrating their partnership that began in 2015.

The successful B&W Px8 noise cancelling headphones have many qualities, including new carbon transducers, an improved DSP and aptX Adaptive Bluetooth compatibility. The integrated battery guarantees 30 hours of autonomy to enjoy music throughout the day.

Icing on the cake, a Transparent mode has been added, and comfort is optimal. To learn more, our review of the B&W PX8 is available on the Son-Vidéo.com blog. The two new finishes of the Px8 have the same technical characteristics.

B&W Px8 007 and McLaren editions: minimalism, boldness and elegance

The beautiful deluxe version dedicated to the famous secret agent features various references to the movies. First, the midnight blue Nappa leather pays homage to the tuxedo worn by James Bond during his first appearance on screen in Dr. No in 1962. We also find the 007 logo as well as the famous “Gun Barrel” that we see at the beginning of several movies.

For this new edition, the finish of the Px8 Bluetooth headphones is a reference to the partnership between Bowers & Wilkins and McLaren Automotive, which began in 2015. The structure and upholstery are in an elegant gray color. The aluminum frame is finished in an elegant papaya orange hue, inspired by McLaren’s supercars and hypercars.

The partnership has already won three IF design awards: for the Bowers & Wilkins systems in the McLaren Speedtail, McLaren GT and McLaren Artura Hybrid.

This visual identity is obviously reminiscent of the carmaker’s partnership with Klipsch, which includes the Klipsch The Fives McLaren compact speakers, the Klipsch T5 II True Wireless ANC McLaren earbuds and the Klipsch T5 II True Wireless Sport McLaren earbuds.

A lifelong art enthusiast, I've made my way into the fascinating world of hi-fi and home theater. My trusty headphones are my constant companion, turning every journey into a private concert where I enjoy my favorite podcasts and catchy playlists one after the other. From rock and jazz to soul, rap and pop, my musical and cinematic tastes are very varied. If I'm not drawing or reading, I'm probably watching Friends, which I rewatch every time I finish the last episode.
