Panasonic MZ2000: 1500 nit OLED panel

We didn’t have to wait long at CES 2023 to discover the first OLED TVs equipped with an LG Display OLED Meta panel. Panasonic has chosen this screen for its Panasonic TX-65MZ2000E and TX-55MZ2000E TVs, heirs to the excellent Panasonic LZ2000 range, with an OLED panel enhanced with MLA. Called Master OLED Ultimate, it offers a maximum brightness of around 1500 nits. This will optimize the display of all HDR content with more intense contrasts and more nuances in the highlights and lowlights. It’s ideal to seriously compete with the new Samsung Display QD-OLED panel with its peak brightness of 2000 nits! These performances are all the more appreciable as Panasonic OLED TVs currently seem to be the only ones to handle both HDR10+, including HDR10+ Adaptive, but also Dolby Vision and its advanced version, Dolby Vision IQ.

As a buyer and seller of second-hand high-tech products for around ten years before joining Son-Vidéo.com in 2007, I had the opportunity to test a variety of amplifiers, speakers, headphones, TVs, projectors and DAPs... Passionate about films and series, music and new technologies, I'm particularly fond of the worlds of TV, video projection and home theater. I like to watch films with my family on the big screen, either at the movie theater or at home, but I also enjoy listening to music on a good hi-fi system, sat in a comfy armchair or on a walk with a pair of headphones.
