Bang & Olufsen and the famous Salle Pleyel concert hall are organizing a series of events called “Écoutes en Scène”. The concept? The leader in high-end audio and its exceptional B&O Beolab 90 speakers, as well as the illustrious Parisian concert hall, invite the public to intimate listening sessions. Écoutes en Scène is defined as “a unique experience dedicated to hi-fi sound and discovering music”.

As of February 13, 2023, the Salle Pleyel will welcome the excellent Beolab 90 speakers on its main stage.

Écoutes en Scène: B&O and the Salle Pleyel united by a passion for music

The Salle Pleyel is a place dedicated to the arts, music, shows and more generally to culture. Built in 1927, it is now classified as a French national heritage site. With acoustics and visual quality as real strengths, many creators, artists, institutions and agencies from all over the world have been won over by the Salle Pleyel.

Écoutes en Scène offers a special opportunity to listen to an album on the main stage of the Salle Pleyel.

The Danish company Bang & Olufsen specializes in the design of high-end audiovisual equipment that combines performance and intuitiveness with a particularly refined aesthetic. As we saw when we visited the Struer museum dedicated to the history of Bang & Olufsen, the brand has been creating exceptional systems and innovating for nearly 100 years. Among its highlights is the impressive Beolab 90 floorstanding speaker.

United by their common passions for music, innovation and acoustic excellence, Salle Pleyel and Bang & Olufsen will provide several listening sessions on the main stage of this legendary venue. The Beolab 90 is a combination of technology, power and acoustic performance. Each speaker has 18 drivers powered by 14 ICEpower 300W amplifiers and four Heliox Class D 1000W amplifiers, for a total power output of 8,200W. Active Room Compensation technology also ensures clear, detailed music regardless of the listener’s position or the configuration of the venue.

The pair of floorstanding speakers provides immersive listening to allow “music lovers wishing to heighten their senses by rediscovering a piece of music through an interactive, more refined and detailed listening experience”.

A true technological feat, the B&O Beolab 90 is dressed in a magnificent cabinet made of high quality materials such as oak and aluminum.

“Listeners are invited to go on stage and interact with the artist, who will comment on their work in the company of a specialized journalist, the public will be able to experience a privileged moment of sharing in an intimate and original format, at contrast with the spectacular setting of the venue.”

A first event on February 13

The first Écoutes en Scène event will take place on February 13, 2023. The public will be able to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the famous album Moon Safari by electronic duo AIR (a vinyl reissue was released on 01/02).

AIR opens this Écoutes en Scène series with their first album Moon Safari, which celebrates its 25th anniversary.

Bang & Olufsen and Salle Pleyel will be announcing upcoming Écoute en Scène events as they happen. There are only 60 seats for each listening session. These can be booked at the Salle Pleyel ticket office. Like The Slow Listener & Son-Vidéo.com listening sessions or Jazz à Gaveau events, many artists will be invited onto the stage of this iconic Parisian concert hall.

This collaboration is a way to spotlight artists from different styles and artistic universes, but also emerging creators. A wonderful initiative to highlight the music scene and promote album releases.
