Panasonic and Technics took advantage of IFA 2022 to showcase their flagship models in a diaphanous setting. Appliances, 4K OLED TVs, LED TVs, turntables and Bluetooth headphones were presented without any gimmicks behind large curtains delineating each universe.
LED LCD Android TV
Panasonic has been marketing televisions with Android TV in Europe for almost two years. Known for its richness and ease of use, the Google operating system only equips the Panasonic LCD LED ranges. The Japanese manufacturer has equipped its Premium OLED TV ranges with its proprietary My Home Screen interface.
Visitors to IFA could therefore appreciate the Google TV interface through the Panasonic LX800 TVs.
Panasonic OLED TV ranges: the best OLED images from IFA
Panasonic OLED TVs have an established reputation for cinematographic pictures and color accuracy. The calibration of the Panasonic LZ1500 and Panasonic LZ2000 OLED ranges is done by a professional Hollywood studio colorist. So you can enjoy an image that is faithful to the director’s vision by selecting the Cinema image mode or, better still, the Filmmaker mode.
In order to demonstrate the increasing image quality from one range to the other, Panasonic displayed the same video stream simultaneously on three TVs placed side by side. Visitors could see the differences between the Panasonic LZ1000, Panasonic LZ1500 and Panasonic LZ2000 OLED ranges.
IFA 2022: Panasonic Gaming
Popular with home-cinephiles for their unparalleled image quality, Panasonic OLED TVs also delight demanding gamers. These latest generation 2022 TVs are equipped with HDMI 2.1 ports compatible with 4K 120Hz. Support for ALLM, VRR and AMD FreeSync Premium technologies is also included. Combined with Game Mode Extreme, these technologies ensure seamless responsiveness and smoothness with next-generation video game consoles and graphics cards.
The Japanese manufacturer demonstrated this in its gaming area where you could play Fifa and Final Fantasy XIV.
IFA 2022: Technics turntables and headphones
The Panasonic booth at IFA 2022 also featured Technics, the premium audio brand of the Panasonic Corporation group, formerly known as Matsushita. We could discover the magnificent Technics SL-1200 M7L 50th Anniversary Edition turntable, available in seven colors.
This direct drive manual turntable adopts a golden anodized tonearm. The top of the chassis is also decorated with an engraved serial number. The Technics SL-1200 M7L comes with exclusive accessories, including a felt platter cover adorned with a gold Technics logo.
Technics also showcased its latest True Wireless earbuds, the Technics EAH-AZ60E, at its booth. Available in black and silver, these earbuds offer a very high quality wireless Bluetooth transmission thanks to the LDAC codec. The Technics EAH-AZ60E earbuds feature dual hybrid noise cancelling for immersive listening. Their autonomy can reach up to 24 hours with the charging case.
The Technics EAH-A800 Bluetooth headphones were also on display. Hi-Res audio certified, they support the SBC, AAC and LDAC codecs. So you can benefit from all the richness of high resolution audio files. Comfortable, with effective passive isolation and noise cancelling, the Technics EAH-A800 Bluetooth headphones rival the market leaders. Their musicality enchanted us when we tried them.
Far from the glitz of the competitors’ stands, Panasonic and Technics presented their best TVs and audio devices in the heart of a deliberately uncluttered space. An approach that focused on the equipment itself, without drowning visitors in an avalanche of marketing messages.
